If the security alarm goes off, this will either signify an emergency (break-in, flooding, etc.) or a false alarm (dialed in the wrong passcode, etc.).

The people who are on the emergency contact list when something goes wrong are the following: Highway Superintendent, Library Board President, and the Library Director.

The people who have a passcode to the alarm to turn it off are the following: Highway Superintendent, Library Director, and the Library Assistants.

If it is a false alarm

Please enter the passcode to the alarm as soon as it starts beeping and call AllTech Integrations right away at 315-268-2401 or 888-692-8483 (M-F 7:30 am-4:00 pm) or 1-800-932-3822 (after hours) to let them know it was a false alarm.  They will ask you for the location’s ID number (located on the alarm box near the keypad in the DVD room) and for the password to make sure you are who you say you are. If they have already alerted the police then ask them which police department they alerted and call the police on a non-emergency number (located below) to let them know that it was a false alarm and you do not need them to come over.

If you don’t call AllTech, then they will call/text the library, its emergency contacts (Highway Superintendent, Board President, and Library Director), and alert the police.

If it is an emergency:

If it is an emergency, then leave the alarm beeping until help arrives.  AllTech will call/text the library, its emergency contacts (Highway Superintendent, Board President, and Library Director), the police, the fire department, etc.

If it is a flood emergency:

If there is a flood emergency, then leave the alarm beeping until help arrives.  If the water sensor on the floor near the sump pump (located in the downstairs activity room) gets water on it then the alarm will go off and AllTech will call/text the library and its emergency contacts (Highway Superintendent, Board President, and Library Director).  If you are in the library when the flood alarm goes off then contact the Highway Superintendent at 315-387-5456 (ext.8) right away.
