The Annie Porter Ainsworth Memorial Library (APAML) has two meeting rooms available in the library service area for individuals or organized groups. The Lincoln Room has a maximum capacity of 20 persons. (Please note: The Lincoln Room is not handicapped accessible.) The Activities Room has a maximum capacity of 33 persons. (Elevator access available). Exceptions may be made by the Library Director if extenuating circumstances are involved.
The room may be reserved no more than ninety (90) days in advance. A minimum of seven (7) days notice is required to reserve the room or the reservation will be made at the discretion of the Library Director. Library programming will have first priority in room use.
It is a charge of $10.00 for the use of the Lincoln Room and $20.00 for the Activities Room. There will be no charge for nonprofit groups. Any changes of the fee will be made at the discretion of the Director.
Refreshments may be served and are to be provided by the group. Per the NYS Clean Indoor Air Act, use of tobacco products (including e-cigarettes) and illegal drugs are not allowed in the library and on the grounds. Outside of a library sanctioned event, alcohol is not permitted in the library or on the grounds. The people using the room shall leave it in neat, clean, and orderly condition. If not, the group/individual will be denied future reservation of meeting rooms.
The Library is not responsible for any equipment, supplies, materials, clothing, or other items brought to the Library by any group or individual attending a meeting.
The use of the library by any outside group does not constitute the library’s endorsement of any group’s policies or beliefs.
