Reopening Update

One of those pesky delays came up in our refurnishing, and we have to postpone reopening. We’re sorry to have to do it, but the new kids’ room will be worth the wait! Instead of Monday, March 20, the library will REOPEN THURSDAY, MARCH 23. We apologize for any inconvenience, and look forward to seeing everyone… and having you all come in and enjoy our rejuvenated space.

REOPENING ON MARCH 23!

NEW ONLINE CATALOG

This spring we’ll be launching a new online catalog. Starting April 26, our library users will enjoy improved search tools, a clean, modern display, and the ability to easily manage accounts. For more information, please visit ncls.org/new-catalog.

Libraries Going on the School Ballot

Ainsworth Memorial Library and Cogswell Free Library are going on the school ballot for a funding increase in the amount of $30,000.  Ainsworth Memorial Library is requesting for an increase of $25,000, while Cogswell Free Library is requesting for an increase of $5,000.  An increase of $30,000 will mean an approximate tax rate increase of $.06 per thousand. So, homeowners with property assessed for $100,000 will see an increase of approximately $6.00, which is equivalent to one meal at a fast food restaurant. The vote will take place on Tues., May 16, 2023, at Sandy Creek Central School. For more information, please check out our FAQ guide.
